Note: Applicants may apply from any timezone; however, consistent availability during US Eastern afternoon hours (roughly 1pm– 5 pm EST/EDT) is required for this position. A significant portion of our client base is US-based, and this overlap is essential for client communication, escalation handling, and team coverage.

Who We’re Looking For:

We are looking for an experienced Lead Project Manager / PM Team Lead to lead a global team of Project Managers and oversee delivery health across a portfolio of ecommerce clients.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining:

  • people management,
  • operational oversight,
  • client escalation management,
  • delivery process improvement,
  • and cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, QA, UX, and Delivery leadership.

You’ll serve as a senior operational leader within the organization — helping PMs succeed, ensuring delivery quality remains high, and supporting strategic US-based client relationships.

This role reports directly to the Director of Service Delivery.

 

What You’ll Own:

PM Team Leadership
  • Lead a small globally distributed team of Project Managers across North America, LATAM, and Europe.
  • Partnering with HR on hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance development initiatives.
  • Run weekly PM team meetings and maintain regular 1:1 cadence with each PM
  • Establish and enforce global PM standards, development frameworks, and best-practice documentation
  • Monitor PM workload distribution, prevent single-point-of-failure risk, and ensure primary/secondary coverage across all accounts
  • Identify PM skill gaps and drive structured capability development

Delivery Health & Operational Oversight
  • Maintain visibility into portfolio health, delivery risks, client sentiment, scope pressure, and project performance
  • Lead weekly delivery health reviews and ensure risks are identified early with actionable mitigation plans
  • Support PMs in resolving delivery blockers, stakeholder issues, and cross-functional coordination challenges
  • Help improve delivery standards, PM workflows, and operational consistency across teams

US Client Coverage & Escalation Management
  • Maintain afternoon 1pm–6pm EST/EDT Slack coverage and direct availability for US-based client accounts
  • Support executive-level client communication, delivery alignment, and relationship management
  • Help stabilize complex projects, manage expectations, and maintain strong client trust during high-pressure situations
  • Participate in strategic account reviews, project kickoffs, and transition planning
  • Support UX/UI audit processes for US clients - identifying development opportunities, extracting task recommendations, and supporting roadmap development to ensure full utilization of client hours

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Engineering, QA, UX, and Delivery leadership to ensure successful project execution
  • Support QA readiness through strong PM documentation and acceptance criteria practices
  • Contribute to QA process improvements, operational tooling, and delivery optimization initiatives
  • Support QA capacity planning and team development as the function matures

Operational & AI-Driven Reporting
  • Enforce consistent adoption of delivery processes, documentation standards, and PM operating procedures as defined by the Director of Service Delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement in PM methodologies, tools, and workflows
  • Support AI-assisted reporting initiatives and workflow automation efforts
  • Ensure reporting tools and operational documentation remain reliable and actionable

 

Pre-Sales & Strategic Alignment

  • Participate in discovery and proposal validation to ensure new engagements are structured for successful PM execution
  • Support onboarding of strategic or high-risk accounts
  • Lead or support new client/project kickoff processes for US and English-speaking clients

 

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Background
  • 7+ years of experience managing digital or ecommerce project delivery
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring Project Managers or delivery teams
  • Experience working in a digital agency or ecommerce services environment
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and agile delivery
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent client accounts in a remote environment
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence; familiarity with project health reporting and backlog management
Strong Plus
  • Magento / Adobe Commerce experience
  • Experience working with US-based clients
  • Experience in operational process improvement
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted productivity and reporting tools

Leadership & Communication

  • Strong people leadership
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Clear, proactive communicator with clients and internal stakeholders alike
  • Comfortable operating as a senior escalation point
  • Organizational rigor -able to hold a portfolio view while managing individual account details
  • Ability to work effectively across Engineering, QA, Delivery, and Leadership in a cross-functional, international environment
