JANUS et Cie has been a leader in design-driven furnishings, accessories, and performance textiles for over 40 years. Their luxury outdoor furniture can be found adorning commercial buildings, hotels, resorts, and beautiful homes across the globe.

It was essential for this pursuit of excellence to be represented on their website with a compelling and engaging experience for their dedicated audience of designers, businesses, and homeowners.

The Challenge

JANUS et Cie was struggling to maintain their Magento site. They couldn’t offer their trade customers specific promos and their existing design didn't do their products justice. They also needed a design and development partner to ensure that any changes they did make to the site would not have negative downstream impacts.

Since JANUS serves international customers, they also needed a partner to help them comply with GDPR. While they had purchased Cookiebot, they wanted reassurance that cookies were classified within Google Analytics and used appropriately in their marketing strategy.

And lastly, JANUS needed a team with the resources required to support the site hosting on AWS.

The Solution

JANUS et Cie chose to work with IronPlane for our demonstrated expertise in the Magento ecosystem. Getting the design elements right was a critical first step in this project. We worked with the JANUS et Cie team to design a custom theme for their site in order to highlight all the unique facets of their furniture.

We further customized the theme to accommodate a custom designer-specific pricing structure. The new UI emphasized this special pricing with different colors and pop-ups depending on JANUS et Cie’s specified promotional campaigns.

IronPlane’s project managers also took stock of other adjustments JANUS et Cie wanted to make to their site and developed a new DevOps process designed to make those changes with minimal internal and external disruption.
