Formaggio Kitchen Launch and Giveaway!

Formaggio Kitchen Launch and Giveaway!

Formagio Kitchen

Last month we were very excited to launch the new website for our client, Formaggio Kitchen. Founded in 1978, Formaggio Kitchen is an independently-owned specialty food importer and retailer based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  They have four brick and mortar stores, but have a strong online presence as well.

Formaggio Kitchen was using a Magento 1 website that had been built for them in 2012, but they realized it wasn’t meeting their needs.  The biggest issue they were experiencing with the site was that it wasn’t mobile friendly.   With  50% of their traffic being mobile generated, this was clearly a big issue. Additional issues were the outdated design and the high maintenance costs.

Formaggio Kitchen contacted IronPlane to create a well-built, stable, fast, and mobile-friendly website. They wanted to give customers a more positive shopping experience in hopes of increasing conversion rates and sales. Because customizability was of utmost importance, we decided Magento 2 was the right platform to work with. Magento 2 offers outstanding customization options, but also features accelerated page loading, streamlined integration of third-party extensions, isolated database scaling, and much more.

With the new site, the main objective was better mobile responsiveness.  Other important features they wished to have were integration with marketing and analytics platforms, and the ability to guide customers smoothly from discovery to purchase. Working closely with Formaggio Kitchen, we were able to ensure the site they envisioned was the site we brought to fruition. You can find out more by visiting the Formaggio Kitchen case study on our website.

Please take the time to visit the new Formaggio Kitchen website. The site offers a wide variety of products the owners have discovered in their travels around the US and Europe. They visit dairies, cheesemakers, and agers of artisan cheese to bring the very best of the best to their stores. In addition to cheese, the store offers an excellent selection of jams, coffee, confections, and more from around the globe. You can now shop the world from the comfort of your home using Formaggio Kitchen’s new website!

Giveaway!

To celebrate the launch of the new Formaggio Kitchen website, we are hosting a giveaway!  The prize consists of products sold on their site and in their stores.
