Position Overview

Being a Project Manager at IronPlane & Snowdog means much more than focusing on pure tasks, budget and timeline management. We encourage our PMs to be well familiar with every aspect of the projects they manage, often being the first to guide our clients. By joining us, you'll have a chance to grow your knowledge about research, design creation, commerce trends, coding process, QA, repos maintenance, deployments, documentations, security, servers maintenance and so on.

What You Will be doing:
  • Directly communicating with our clients on a daily basis, acting not only as a project manager, but also as their trusted advisor.
  • Taking responsibility for project scheduling and delivery: gather and clarify requirements, scope and estimates for tasks, setting expectations with developers and clients about timing, working with Resource Manager and Project Director to ensure projects are properly staffed and quality standards are met. 

  • Managing the project team:

    • Coordinate with backend, frontend and full stack developers to ensure tasks are assigned and delivered according to project timelines and budgets.
    • Coordinate with external resources or 3rd parties, as needed, to support client priorities and goals (this may include 3rd party technical support, agency and/or marketing partners, external development or design resources, etc.).
    • Conduct regular meetings with key internal project team members.
  • Having an actual impact on project growth, research and improvement. This may include:

    • Working with clients to understand business goals and requirements and build out project roadmaps and backlogs with tasks aimed at meeting those goals.
    • Testing new features and troubleshooting bugs or issues.
    • Investigating and proposing solutions for business problems or goals.
  • Developing your project management skills and technical knowledge through a combination of on-the-job training and regular self-development time:

    • IPSD is committed to supporting our team with mentorship and sanctioned time for pursuing on-the-job learning and training, courses, certifications, etc.
Apply if you can boast about your:
  • At least 1-2  years of experience in IT Project Management managing web build / support and maintenance projects, and working with developers (ecommerce web projects strongly preferred) in an agency environment.
  • Experience in Magento 2 (doesn’t have to be an expert, but you have ever run a project on this platform or have an intermediate knowledge of it).
  • Dealing with completing tasks, creating and developing documentation, managing tasks queue, overseeing budgets and providing clear, structured status updates to clients.
  • Theoretical understanding of web and mobile development technologies or/and technical background.
  • Decent knowledge of usability and accessibility standards and regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and fluency both in Polish and English.
  • Ability to self-manage during projects, pick priorities, identify issues and raise concerns or ideas to the team.
  • Proactive approach, critical thinking and great decision-making skills.
  • High motivation to learn new things.
Even better if you also have:
  • Experience in eCommerce projects.
  • You are familiar with tools such as Jira or Slack.
  • Availability within the CET time zone.
  • Experience with other ecommerce platforms ie: BigCommerce, Shopify, Woocommerce, etc.
