Where we're hiring now

eCommerce Project Manager (Magento 2)
Project Management
Remote or Poznań office
Contractor (Poland) · Start right away

Lead one larger Magento 2 project or several smaller ones, owning client communication, scope, budget and delivery. Fluent Polish and English required. We're looking for someone who can start right away.

What you'll do

  • Run ecommerce projects, mostly on Magento 2, owning timelines, scope and budget.
  • Own client communication on plans, progress and scope, talking to clients daily as a project manager and a trusted advisor.
  • Take responsibility for project scheduling and delivery.
  • Manage the project team of developers, QA, DevOps and design.
  • Work with the Resource Manager, Director of Engineering and Director of Delivery to make sure projects are properly staffed and meet our quality standards.
  • Support other PMs when they're away or during busy periods.

Must have

  • Strong IT project management experience on ecommerce web development, support and maintenance, working with developers in an agency.
  • Proven Magento 2 expertise, including running complex projects on the platform.
  • Fluent Polish and English, and the ability to communicate clearly with developers and with less technical client contacts.

You'll also need

  • Experience gathering functional requirements, defining scope and preparing estimates, on your own or with the team, to form proposals for client approval.
  • Hands-on task and queue management, documentation, budget tracking and clear, structured status updates for clients.
  • A strong grasp of QA/QC practice, including testing and validating features and bug fixes on ecommerce environments.
  • An understanding of web and mobile development technologies, or a technical background.
  • The ability to manage yourself: set priorities, spot issues and raise concerns or ideas with the team.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Tempo.

Nice to have

  • Experience with other ecommerce platforms, such as BigCommerce, Shopify or Sylius.
  • Using AI tools in your daily work.
  • Managing mobile projects.
  • QA/QC testing platforms or automation tools, such as Testomat or TestMonitor.

Tools we use: Jira, Confluence, Slack, Google Workspace, GitLab and AI tools.

What we offer

  • A B2B contract, the Polish self-employed arrangement: you run your own business and organize your work within the scope agreed for each engagement. Other arrangements can be discussed.
  • Full control of your working hours, with reasonable overlap with your team.
  • Optional private medical cover and a sports card.
  • An international team spread across several countries and time zones.
  • Work remotely full-time or from our office in central Poznań.

Good to know

  • Send your CV in Polish or English, whichever you prefer.
  • We'd like you to start as soon as possible, so we're prioritizing candidates with shorter notice periods. We may not be able to wait three months.
  • If the salary range doesn't match your expectations but you think you're a strong fit, get in touch anyway. We're open to discussion.
  • We give feedback during interviews, but we can't give individual feedback to candidates not selected after the CV review.
  • If you need any adjustments at any stage, such as a different interview format or extra time, just let us know.

Project Manager: Team Lead
Project Management
Remote · Any time zone, US Eastern afternoon overlap
Contractor (USD) · Full time

Lead our global team of Project Managers and oversee delivery health across a portfolio of ecommerce clients. 7+ years in ecommerce delivery and Magento experience required.

The role

Reports to the Director of Service Delivery. You lead a small, globally distributed team of Project Managers across North America, Latin America and Europe, and oversee delivery health across a portfolio of ecommerce clients. It is a hands-on leadership role: people management, operational oversight, client escalations, delivery process improvement and work across Engineering, QA, UX and Delivery leadership.

What you'll own

  • Partner with HR on hiring, onboarding, coaching and performance development for the PM team.
  • Run weekly PM team meetings and a regular 1:1 with each PM.
  • Set and enforce global PM standards, frameworks and best-practice documentation.
  • Watch PM workload, prevent single points of failure, and make sure every account has primary and secondary coverage.
  • Keep visibility of portfolio health, delivery risks, client sentiment, scope pressure and project performance, and lead weekly delivery health reviews.
  • Help PMs clear delivery blockers, stakeholder issues and cross-team coordination problems.
  • Cover Slack and be available for US clients from 1pm to 6pm US Eastern time.
  • Support executive-level client communication, help stabilize complex projects, and join account reviews, kickoffs and transition planning.
  • Support UX/UI audits for US clients, turning findings into tasks and roadmaps so client hours are fully used.
  • Support QA readiness through strong PM documentation and acceptance criteria, and help QA capacity planning as the function matures.
  • Drive continuous improvement in PM methods, tools, reporting and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Take part in discovery and proposal validation so new engagements are set up for successful delivery.

What we're looking for

  • 7+ years managing digital or ecommerce project delivery, in an agency or ecommerce services environment.
  • Experience leading or mentoring Project Managers or delivery teams.
  • Magento / Adobe Commerce experience.
  • Experience with US-based clients and with several concurrent client accounts in a remote setup.
  • A strong grasp of the software development lifecycle and agile delivery.
  • Jira and Confluence, project health reporting and backlog management.
  • Operational process improvement, and familiarity with AI-assisted productivity and reporting tools.
  • Strong English, written and spoken, and comfort acting as a senior escalation point.
  • The rigor to hold a portfolio view while managing account details.

Tools we use: Jira, Confluence, Slack, Google Workspace and AI tools.

Working setup

  • Full-time, remote, long-term independent contractor role with IronPlane, a US-based company, paid in USD at a fixed monthly rate.
  • Apply from any time zone. Consistent availability during US Eastern afternoon hours is required, because much of our client base is in the US.
  • A flat structure with low bureaucracy, and a team of 40+ people across the US, Poland and Latin America.
  • You won't step into a fully predefined system. We want someone who enjoys improving workflows and helping teams scale.

How we work

Freedom to solve problems properly

We're a mixed team of engineers, designers, PMs and specialists who like building things that work. You get room to explore ideas and pick the right fix rather than the fast one, and colleagues who are easy to approach when you're stuck.

The clients are real businesses with real stakes: B2B distributors, manufacturers, fashion and retail brands. What you ship shows up in their sales the next morning.

What you'll help build

  • B2B stores with customer-specific pricing, quotes and ERP integrations.
  • Rescues: stores stuck on old versions or left half-built by another agency.
  • ISKRA, our own Magento platform, and the stores that run on it.
  • Hyvä builds that are fast and accessible from day one.
Meet the teams

Eight teams, one delivery

Backend

Magento and Adobe Commerce modules, integrations with ERPs and PIMs, and the complex performance problems.

Frontend

Fast, accessible storefronts on Hyvä, built to WCAG from the start.

DevOps

Hosting, pipelines and monitoring for our own platform, ISKRA, and for client stores.

QA

Test plans and automated checks so releases go out without surprises.

Design

Research, UX and UI that turns a client's goals into something customers can use.

Project Management

The link between clients and teams, keeping scope, budget and dates honest.

Mobile

Native iOS and Android apps for retail and education clients.

Growth & Operations

Supporting our people and business growth through hiring, people development, company culture, office management, events and smooth day-to-day operations.

Why join us

Get very good at Magento

Magento and Adobe Commerce are what we do every day. You'll work alongside certified developers, contribute to the community through Meet Magento Poland and Hyvä, and build on our own platform, ISKRA.

Adobe Bronze Solution Partner · Hyvä Partner · Shopify Plus Partner · AWS Partner

  • Work from wherever works for you: remotely from wherever you choose or from our office in central Poland.
  • A genuinely close-knit team: a small, flat organization built on direct collaboration and mutual support.
  • Support for your growth: co-funding for relevant courses and certifications.
  • Conferences, meetups and training: opportunities to learn, connect and stay up to date.
  • Real flexibility: we mean it. Organize your day in a way that works for you and your team.
How we hire

Two interviews, then a decision

Here is what comes next, if you meet the requirements. We value both our time and yours, which is why our process has only two interviews.

01

HR Interview (Online)

We will discuss your professional experience, previous challenges, and your expectations for working at IronPlane.

02

Technical Interview (Online)

You'll meet the hiring manager, a technical lead from the team you'd be joining, or both, to dive deeper into the technical side of the role, relevant projects and your hands-on experience. We'll assess your technical knowledge, practical skills and approach to solving real-world challenges.

03

Feedback & Next Steps

After the interviews, we will provide feedback and share our decision regarding the next stage.
